SequoyahMatoaka was born from faith, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in the beauty industry. What began as a passion has evolved into a luxury brand dedicated to empowering nail professionals and elevating the standard of nail artistry.
Founded by Sequoyah Matoaka, a licensed Master Cosmetologist and Nail Instructor, our brand represents more than products—it represents confidence, creativity, and craftsmanship.
Our Founder
Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Sequoyah Matoaka learned early the power of embracing authenticity. Once hesitant to fully step into her name, she ultimately transformed it into a brand rooted in identity, purpose, and pride.
In 2017, a $20 nail kit sparked a journey that would redefine her future. Through dedication, self-education, and faith, Sequoyah transitioned from custom nail services to creating her own professional-grade acrylics—recognized and requested for their quality, performance, and originality.
In 2020, she stepped out on faith to pursue her vision full time. By August 2021, SequoyahMatoaka Acrylic System officially launched with 15 custom colors, setting the foundation for a brand trusted by nail professionals nationwide.
In July 2025, Sequoyah reached another defining milestone—becoming a Licensed Nail Instructor, further solidifying her role as an educator, mentor, and leader in the industry.
